Challenge
Axis Solar approached us about creating a brand identity. Solar energy is one of the
most plentiful and sustainable energy sources on the planet. It is nearly infinite. It also
illustrates the nature of long-term energy solutions. As a result, a logo that not only
depicts nature’s richness but also the company’s beliefs and goals had to be developed.
Strategy
We were tasked with merging energy, sustainability, and creativity into a single logo. As
we started working on the visual identity, one of our first ideas proved to be exactly what
was needed. Our logo expresses our brand’s ideas.
We began by drafting a new narrative and trial messaging around what Axis Solar
makes happen and makes possible.
Approach
Our initial attempts to build a logo that conveyed the genuine spirit did appear strange.
But, bit by bit, we began to solve the logo conundrum and develop a custom typeface.
We refined the logotype with the assistance of typography experts before expanding the
concept into more characters… We discovered that one notion was correct after much
research: an infinite built using an x-axis reveals that energy is boundless
Impact
The Axis solar team expressed their extreme satisfaction with the completed result. The
message that needed to be communicated about the brand was accomplished via the
use of the logo.
